Welcome to The Village Book Peddler! We are a mobile secondhand bookstore located out of Granville, OH. As a former Children’s Librarian and lifelong book lover, this little shop is a dream come true.
After stepping away from working in a library to be home with my kids, I was never able to stop myself from recommending titles to friends and family. Eventually, this turned into the idea of creating my own bookstore. But I wanted the shop to be different, I wanted it to be as integrated into the community as possible, and to bring book to where people are. This led to the idea of creating a mobile bookstore.
Connecting people to the right book can bring joy, support, empathy, and understanding. Our carefully curated collection of secondhand books helps make newer titles and older classics more affordable and accessible. Books are meant to be read and loved again and again, and by focusing on secondhand books, we hope to be able to make reading what you love as easy as possible!
Bookstores are an integral part of a community. They introduce ideas and discussion, as well as create space for connections and fostering relationships. With the help of Betty, our book truck, we are able to meet our community where they are, allowing us to participate in events and daily life in a way that helps connect residents to each other and to reading.
